What We Offer
Our Services
YGT believes that identifying the leaders, key people and organizations in the community is vital to the creation of effective community engagement strategies. YGT will help companies identify these stakeholders and analyse their involvement at the socio-economic and political level to optimise communication and engagement strategies.
Before the start of an extractive project, we need to assess the community’s readiness for economic investment and/or diversification. Many extractive projects neighbour on agricultural communities. Analysing the local and regional economy of communities as well as their social environment will help companies to focus on the right community development projects. Socio-economic analysis also helps communities develop new economic sectors that can contribute to the sustainability of their economy in the long term.
Any project proponent needs to strategise, not only initiating a relationship with the community but also maintaining that relationship. YGT will help companies to develop the best strategies to initiate and maintain this relationship.
Engaging with people in the communities right at the start of a project and creating an environment of respect, transparency, inclusiveness and trust helps the project proceed smoothly. In an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust, stakeholders can negotiate and agree on common benefits for all parties involved. Companies need to achieve their goals together with stakeholders’.
YGT believes that local economic development needs to come from below not from above. Engaging with communities and identifying their priorities and needs allow us to direct the social investment that extractive industry brings to where it’s needed and valued by local people.
YGT will help your company or community to connect with government agencies and civil society for the development of true partnerships. Project success requires community, private sector and government all at the table to build mutual understanding and trust.
At YGT, environmental protection is one of our key values. YGT’s expertise in the Environmental Impact Assessment process will help your community to better understand the significance of environmental impacts, and protect your community’s long-term interest in a healthy environment.
